On Monday morning during peak traffic, a Minibus taxi broke the land speed record. The Driver, Caleb April, a 32 year old resident from Mitchells plain said all he wanted to do is get his passengers to work on time. Fortunately for the ThrustSSC, its current record of 1227km\h is safe. There were no FIA staff present to make Caleb's record run official. Caleb feels like with a few upgrades to his Toyota Quantum he will be able to push the limits further. Local traffic police will be on the lookout for Caleb and try their best to have FIA staff behind their speed cameras to ensure Calebs next Monday morning dash is one for the record books.
